Transport

Clapham Junction is the UK's busiest railway station, connecting to Victoria and Waterloo.

Queenstown Road and Battersea Park stations also connect to Waterloo and Victoria respectively.

History

Despite Battersea's industrial heritage, its riverside location meant extensive residential building was inevitable. The stretch of ground between Albert and Wandsworth bridges is now dominated by smart apartment blocks. Further south, older mansion blocks can be found overlooking Battersea Park.
